Connecting Communities – Long Covid Support Group
One in ten survivors of COVID-19 will suffer from one or more longer lasting side effects and this does not seem to correlate with the severity or duration of their illness. While more research is being undertaken it is very clear that for many sufferers these side effects are life changing.
In Warwickshire, a partnership group has been formed to consider the support available to survivors and what could helpfully be put in place from a non- clinical approach. The aim is to offer peer support and learning and to encouragement to continue to support one another when the facilitator moves on, thus developing a continuous wave of small support groups across the county. The aim of this group is to provide emotional and wellbeing support and it is not to offer medical advice.
The group will run online for one hour per week starting on Wednesday 14th April at 5:30pm
