Update on recent power cuts in Newton

Following a number of power interruptions (power cuts) experienced in the village recently, Western Power has been approached and they explained that this issue is largely due to the power lines to the village being over head and subject to the vagaries of the weather and other natural phenomena.  They have put measures in place to reduce this.  However, should there be a further proliferation of power cuts, let the Parish Clerk know and she will take up with Western Power on your behalf.
